Botox isn’t one size fits all. And that’s the whole point.

If your Botox feels too frozen or wears off faster than you expected…. it’s probably not the product. It’s how it’s being used.

Here’s why:

Dosing matters more than you might think

One of the most common issues I see is improper dosing, either too little or too much.

When we underdose, as you could imagine, Botox wears off quickly or doesn’t fully soften the movement in your face.
But on the other hand, when we inject too much, it can feel heavy or look a bit unnatural.

The sweet spot is somewhere in the middle to achieve the subtle softness and lift.

Your muscle strength is unique

Everyone’s facial muscles are different.

Some people have stronger, more active movement, which means they may need a bit more support through:

  • higher dosing

  • more strategic placement

Others need much less to get a beautiful, natural result.

This is exactly why copying someone else’s number of units won’t work.

Your treatment should be based on how your face moves instead of a standard formula.

That’s why at Revisions, we take a highly personal approach to every session; assessing your unique features and goals.

Placement is everything

Where Botox is placed matters just as much as how much is used.

.The right placement will

  • preserve your natural expression

  • prevent that heavy or overdone look

  • create a more balanced and symmetrical result

Your face changes over time

What worked a year ago may not be what you need now. Your facial muscles, skin, and overall facial balance change gradually over time. This is why we always adjust treatments over time and never copy and paste session after session.

We take a more customized approach because it leads to better and more consistent results, not just now but long term!

So how long should Botox last?

Most Botox treatments last around 3 to 4 months. But this can vary based on:

  • metabolism activity level

  • muscle strength

  • dosing

If it’s wearing off significantly sooner, it usually means something needs to be adjusted.

The goal

Botox should never look obvious. It shouldn’t make you feel stiff or expressionless. When it’s done right, it softens movement
prevents lines from setting in and keeps you looking refreshed without anyone knowing exactly why!
