PDGF is a beautiful option for clients who want a regenerative add-on but prefer to avoid a blood draw, are a hard poke, or simply want a no-blood-draw option.

Which Add-On Is Right for Me?
PRF and PDGF are both wonderful options — they are just different. PRF uses your own blood-derived growth factors, while PDGF is a topical growth factor option that does not require a blood draw.

If you love the idea of using your own body’s regenerative factors, PRF may be a great fit. If you prefer to skip the blood draw, PDGF may be the better option for you.

During your appointment, we’ll talk through your skin goals, comfort level, and treatment plan to decide which option makes the most sense for you.

Downtime + What to Expect

After microneedling, it is normal to look and feel like you have a mild to moderate sunburn for the first 24–48 hours. You may experience redness, warmth, tightness, dryness, light peeling, or mild sensitivity as your skin heals.

Most clients feel comfortable returning to normal activities within 24–48 hours, although full skin recovery and collagen remodeling continue over the following weeks to months.

For best results, you’ll want to avoid direct sun exposure, sweating, makeup, exfoliating products, and active skincare ingredients for the first 24–72 hours, depending on your skin and treatment depth.

Recommended Treatment Plan

For best results, most clients benefit from a series of 4–6 microneedling treatments spaced every 3–4 weeks. Results are gradual and continue to improve as your skin produces new collagen and elastin over time.

PRF Treatments

Platelet-Rich Fibrin, or PRF, is a regenerative treatment that uses your body’s own natural healing properties to support healthier, stronger, more radiant skin.

During the treatment, a small amount of your blood is drawn and processed in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich portion. This creates a concentration of platelets, fibrin, white blood cells, and growth factors that can be applied topically during microneedling or used in injectable form, depending on your treatment plan.

Unlike traditional PRP, PRF is processed more gently and without anticoagulants, allowing the fibrin matrix to form and slowly release growth factors over time. This makes PRF a beautiful option for clients looking to support collagen production, improve skin quality, and enhance their body’s natural repair process.

Because PRF is made from your own blood, there is not one exact percentage we can promise for increased collagen or growth factor activity. Everyone’s biology is different. What we do know is that PRF contains your own platelets, fibrin, and growth factors, which help support the skin’s natural repair process. Think of PRF as a way to give your skin more of its own natural repair signals during the treatment process.

The goal is healthier, brighter, stronger, more resilient skin over time — not an instant or guaranteed percentage change.
