The Skin Treatment I Don’t Want You to Do Just Once

I know I talk about microneedling a lot, but there’s a reason.

It isn’t flashy. You’re not walking out looking like a different person. It’s one of those treatments where you look back a few months later and realize your skin just looks... better.

Smoother texture. Softer fine lines. Improvement in acne scarring and pores. Better overall skin quality.

That’s my kind of treatment.

The biggest thing I tell patients is that one is great, but consistency is where this treatment really shines.

We’re asking your skin to repair, rebuild and make collagen. That takes time.

And if you want to give your treatment a little extra support, PRF or PDGF are two of my favorite add-ons.

PRF uses your own growth factors. We do a quick blood draw, process it and pair it with your SkinPen treatment while your skin is already doing all that repair work.

PDGF gives us another option without the blood draw and provides targeted growth factor support during that same process.

Do I recommend adding PRF or PDGF to your microneedling treatment? Absolutely.

If we’re already asking your skin to repair, rebuild and create collagen, I love giving it that extra growth factor support while it’s already in healing mode.

For me, it’s one of those add-ons that can make a lot of sense, especially when we’re investing in a microneedling series and really focusing on overall skin quality.

That said, I still look at your skin, your health history and your goals before recommending anything. Not every add-on is right for every person, and I want the plan to fit you, not just the treatment.

We’ll decide together whether PRF or PDGF is the better fit, but in general, I’m a big fan of pairing one with SkinPen when it makes sense for your skin.

If SkinPen has been sitting on your “I should really do that” list, consider this your sign to finally make a plan.
