If You Have an Event Coming Up, Start With The Calendar

One of the easiest ways to set yourself up for a good result  is to give your treatment enough time.

I know that isn't the exciting answer when you have holiday parties, family photos and travel coming up, but timing reallydoes matter. Some treatments offer relatively quick results, while others require patience and a longer-term plan.

BOTOX OR DYSPORT

I generally recommend scheduling at least 2 weeks before an important event. This allows time for results to develop and gives us a  chance to assess how everything has settled.

FILLER

Ideally, plan filler at least 4 weeks before an important event, especially for lips. Swelling and bruising are possible, and I want you  feeling comfortable and confident well before your event.

EZ GEL / PRF

EZ Gel is a regenerative treatment made from your own blood-derived components. It can be used in targeted areas, including the under-eye area and nasolabial folds, when appropriate.

Because swelling and bruising can occur, I recommend planning for at least 4 weeks before an important event, with additional time if possible. Some patients may experience downtime for about a week, and results develop gradually rather than overnight.

MICRONEEDLING AND CHEMICAL PEELS

These treatments need time for your skin to recover. Depending on the treatment and your skin, plan for at least 2 to 4 weeks before an event, sometimes longer for more intensive treatments. If you're considering a series, it's best to start several months ahead.

SCULPTRA

This is the long game. Collagen production and visible improvements develop gradually over several months, so I recommend starting at least 3 to 6 months before an event if you're hoping to see meaningful improvement by then.

WEIGHT MANAGEMENT

If you're considering medical weight management with semaglutide or tirzepatide, this is something to plan well in advance. These medications are typically introduced at a low dose and adjusted gradually under medical supervision. Meaningful changes take time, and the pace varies from person to person.

I would ideally start the conversation several months before a major event, rather than expecting a last-minute change. Our approach also includes nutrition, protein intake, strength training and ongoing follow-up.

HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY

Hormone therapy is about your overall health and symptoms, not a quick fix for an upcoming event. The process starts with a comprehensive consultation and appropriate lab work before treatment decisions are made.

If treatment is appropriate, symptom improvement varies, and it can take several weeks to a few months to assess how you're  responding and make adjustments. We monitor progress and tailor treatment to your needs, so this is a conversation worth starting  well before the holidays.

My general rule?

The closer we are to your event, the less adventurous we get.

There is a time for treatments, and there is also a time to leave your face alone. The same goes for wellness: some things can be  planned around your calendar, while others deserve a longer-term approach.

If you have something coming up, tell me the date. We can work backward and figure out what makes sense, what needs more time  and what I would save for later.

These are general planning guidelines, not guarantees. Recovery and results vary by treatment and individual. Wellness treatment  decisions should be based on clinical evaluation, not an event deadline.
